To positively impact our community through the core values of rowing: striving for excellence, preserving human dignity, fostering friendship, and building teamwork. We are a nonprofit organization committed to making rowing accessible to all — regardless of background, ability, or economic means.
To establish a nonprofit rowing program accessible to youth and adults of all socioeconomic levels — including people with disabilities through adaptive rowing and programs tailored for veterans. In partnership with Parks & Recreation, we are building a home for rowing on the waters of South Florida.
From first strokes to competitive racing, we offer inclusive programs for every athlete — on the water, on the erg, and in the community.

Orthopedic Surgeon · USRowing Level III Certified Coach · Associate Professor
Rodrigo has been a lifelong rower, beginning his career at age 14 at Club de Regatas Rosario — one of the most celebrated rowing clubs in South America. He competed at the Argentine national level as a lightweight, until a knee injury redirected his path. Undeterred, he continued racing and today competes nationally and internationally in Masters regattas.
As a coach, he has led Learn-to-Row programs in Argentina, at Rocky Mountain Rowing Club, and served as assistant coach at High Mile Rowing Club in Denver, CO. He holds all three USRowing coaching certifications — Level I, II, and III — as well as the USRowing Masters Coach certification, and has served as a reviewer for the current USRowing Masters Coaches course.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon and hand specialist, Rodrigo has built a distinguished academic career, reaching the rank of Associate Professor at the University of Colorado and Florida Atlantic University. Today, as founder and coach of the Delray Beach Rowing Club, he brings together his medical expertise, teaching experience, and lifelong passion for rowing to build a lasting institution that serves Palm Beach County.
Retired 777 Captain, American Airlines · NASA Subject Matter Expert · U.S. Air Force Veteran
Daniel Kiggins recently retired from American Airlines as a 777 Captain after a distinguished forty-year career, and currently serves NASA as a subject matter expert on the development of commercial aviation technologies. His aviation story is as remarkable as his rowing one: after beginning his college career at St. John's University in New York on a rowing scholarship, he left university at 19 to enlist in the New York Air National Guard, becoming one of the youngest pilots in the U.S. Air Force.
He went on to earn degrees at the University of Tennessee, Carson-Newman College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University — each accompanied by a rowing scholarship. For years he was a proud member of the Bachelor's Barge Club on Boathouse Row in Philadelphia, one of the oldest rowing clubs in the nation, before relocating to South Florida.
Daniel and Rodrigo share a deep conviction: that rowing is a vehicle for community impact, academic opportunity, and the values of teamwork and discipline. As a veteran, Daniel has personally connected the club to the local veteran community. He strongly believes rowing can open doors for underserved youth in Delray Beach — providing a pathway to scholarships and grants that allow the next generation to share in the American dream.
We are currently in a transitional phase as we prepare for an exciting new chapter at Delray Beach Rowing Club.
We will soon be announcing the appointment of a world-renowned Head Coach to lead our programs. This international-level professional will bring a wealth of elite competitive experience to oversee our day-to-day operations and athlete development. Our commitment remains to ensure that every rower — from beginner to competitor — receives world-class guidance to reach their full potential.
Stay tuned for this major update.
